Me, too, IM. Nothing like that would have happened with the kids I knew ... and I'm just as glad.
You know, Lil, something we used to play that was fun was called "Capture the Flag." At dark, we'd break into two teams and hide cloth "flags" at the opposite ends of a big yard or wooded area. Then, each team was required to find the other's flag. A middle "line" defined whose territory you were in and if you were in the other guys side and got tagged, you became a prisoner and had to stay in one spot unless one of your team came and tagged to you let you escape. Most fun when both sides had quite a few players. I don't know if you can find better rules on the web or not. Haven't looked, but it was fun.
