That first one looks ok to me. Are you saying there are suppose to be letters and numbers under all the sticky stuff? 
The virtual key board has real possibilities!!! 
I looks like it projects a laser layout onto a flat surface. Removing the living room carpet and with a step ladder, I could get the keys far enough apart to just walk over to the one I want and jump on it. ……………. Yep! That'll work better.
