My current "office spouse" is a woman...which is very unusual because I've had so few female friends in my life.

In almost every job, I've had an "office spouse" that I spent time with at and outside of work. On a few occasions, these turned into romantic liasions. Even without physical intimacy, we were very close...and I am still friends with every one of them. Funny, but I always seem to have one at every job.
