Hold on a minute... I'll definitely agree that suing a fast food place because you're fat is pretty dumb. But when dumb lawsuits are brought up, the Mcdonalds hot coffee case is inevitably mentioned... and a lot of people have never heard all the facts concerning that case. And I mean no offense to you RandyGal...

A couple quick notes... the woman was in the passenger seat trying to add cream and sugar while the car was stopped. When she pulled off the plastic lid, it spilled.
Mcdonalds kept it's coffee at 185 degrees... most coffee brewed at home is around 135-140 degrees.
I know people like their coffee hot but it BURNED her SKIN off her body and they had to graft skin from other parts of her body to cover up the burned parts.
She was in the hospital for 8 days and sought to settle with Mcdonalds out of court for $20,000 and they refused.
