The search site Ask is about to retire Jeeves.

Rachel Johnson, an Ask vice president, is quoted as saying: "We can confirm that we are repositioning our brand and that Jeeves will be retiring." His retirement has been caused by the effort to “re-brand” the Ask search site. The possibility of Jeeves’ departure has been rumored since March 2005 following the purchase of Ask.

Supposedly, by the end of this month the valet will disappear from the site he has symbolized since ever it came up in 1996.
