Not all is what it seems to be;

I know a woman in her mid 30s with two children who was raped by a minor. she did not report the rape or go to the police for a couple of weeks. Without the rape kit or other proof it was her word against the boys. The boy said that she molested him. She was charged with child molestation, she plead 'no contest' and is now a registered sex offender.
