Oh ((((Aqua)))...warm thoughts and my deepest condolensces to you and your family! I hope for you a short term mourning period and a long term sense of all the loving and happy memories that Steve brought to your family!

Cancer? To say it evokes fear and the sense of thievery! Long term battles with it can drain a family...including the one who is fighting the battle. He/she doesn't want the family to be burdened when we all know we'd gladly take that burden from them, if we could, to spare them the pain of the fight! Life NEVER seems fair at deaths door, no matter the circumstance! But we all know that death is a part of life, albeit the final part. How we get to the finality is never our choice...and dare I say, ever our fault. It HAS to happen! We can't hold it back! We can only hope it isn't painful!!!

Can I tell you (from personal experience with my mother) that cancer IS/CAN BE/IS NOT NECESSARILY painful when nearing the end...but at the very end it is like any other death. I'll call it euphoric. I watched my mother go from pain to euphoria in a matter of two days. It helped all of her survivors to know this and/or see it in her.

As it concerns a cancer sufferer, to understand and believe this ^^^ can help many who have traveled the road to a loved ones death. They are at peace...out of pain and suffering...and we now have to find a way to make peace with ourselves! After that happens, the happy memories flow!
