I love all accents. Boston (Kennedy style) is one of my faves (get on that accent, IAKG). I love the different accents in England. I love Belfast accents from all the Irish dialects.

Why is all this talk of accents turning me on?

Why do I feel that ^^^ hasn't read the "working on her NE accent" part of my profile?

Now, as Steph and Lil and a few others know, I could listen to Mr. Ewan McGregor all day (and night!) long...but, honestly, I've never really *thought* about an accent as a turnon. Like some of the others who have posted, I *do* like listening to those I meet with them, but I think it's mostly because of the difference from my own intonation. In fact, when talking to one of my new friends here, I'll often have her stop in the middle of her sentence, just to get her to repeat the fascinating pronounciation she just uttered.

Contrary to popular belief, my own accent is not strong. In Iowa, in fact, there were only a handful of people the seven years I lived there who even knew that I grew up/lived most of my life in the south. But the minute I open my mouth here, it's a different story.
