can someone please tell me what treats genital warts.B/z am told if it stays longer in female it might cause cervical cancer. Is this true?

not a doc but yes warts are related to cervical cancer.........she needs to see a Dr. ASAP!!!!!! This can affect her ablity to have children later.

yep.. see a doc.. not only the woman involved but any man who she has been with since she has developed them. Not only as Lilith mentioned are they linked to both cervical cancer and later ability to safely give birth, but they are also transmittable. Men can just as easily have them..

Tell her to go to the doc now- you might want to go yourself too just to make sure. The problem with venereal warts is that they spread like crazy (I'm currently job-shadowing in a gynocology office) and are definitely connected with cervical cancer. I think they are usually treated by freezing them off or with lasers. Not pleasant, but it sure beats the alternative. Get her there now while the procedure will be small and relatively painless- DO NOT PUT IT OFF!

See a doctor ASAP. There are several treatment options to remove the wart clusters associated with genital warts, but you must understand, genital warts are a form of the herpes virus and there is NO cure! They are transmittable only by direct contact with the warts themselves. After initial treatment, you will want to closely monitor the area involved, and return to the doctor if more clusters develop. Such warts can also develop around the anus, so check there too. And, with women, the can develop within the vaginal canal.

It is true that genital warts can lead to cervical and uterine cancers as well as infertility in males and females. Don't take this lightly. Good luck.
