Low handicap golfers 'more likely to have sex on course' A new survey shows 8% of keen US golfers have had sex on the course - but this figure rises to 18% of low handicappers. Around 2,000 golfers who play more than 25 rounds a year were asked 135 questions for the survey which appears in the September edition of Golf Magazine. The survey is part of The Report On The American Golfer, a comprehensive study into golfers' habits. The survey also shows 16% have broken a club in anger while 43% have thrown a club at least once. Meanwhile, 59% have improved their lie while their fellow players weren't looking. David Duval is the most popular male playing partner with 41% of the votes. He's followed by President Bush (25%), comedian Billy Murray (23%) and Michael Jordan (10%). First choice of female playing partners is Nancy Lopez (52%), followed by Karrie Webb (25%), Cindy Crawford (18%) and Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor (5%). If they could ban one thing from the golf course, 37% said it would be slow players. Mobile phones took 34% of the votes, followed by foul language with 13%. |
