Cinema Shame

Are you ashamed, embarrassed or horrified by any movies that you enjoy?

I am HORRIFIED that I enjoyed Fight Club. I think maybe I'm sick or something...same feeling I got when I discovered I loved Pulp Fiction.

So what movie makes YOU feel like a weirdo?

Lilith 04-12-2002 11:54 PM

Princess Bride <running to hide in shame>

Reverend Silky 04-12-2002 11:55 PM

none, honestly. the way i see it, so long as i like it, that's all i'm concerned with. i cried at the end of the King Kong sequel. *silence* ...what? the Kongs had a kid, even though papabear Kong died while he was bein' born. baby Kong got to touch his dad's finger just as he died. *more silence* that's Shakespeare-type shit! have you no souls?!

Lilith 04-12-2002 11:56 PM

Oh! Hedwig and the Angry Inch....... sooooo bad it's good

vampeyes 04-12-2002 11:57 PM

Priscilla Queen Of The Dessert......it's so bad it's good :)

RandyGal 04-12-2002 11:57 PM

Perhaps I worded my query queerly..........

I MEANT more like what movies make YOU feel creepy because you liked them.

Oh gads. I suppose you'll give me the same answers! :D

scotzoidman 04-13-2002 12:45 AM

ET - I actually got emotionally attached to that creepy lil googoo eyed mechanical alien puppet...

nutworld 04-13-2002 08:23 AM

not creepy, but strangley affected by the movie "Ghost".

I was in the Navy at the time, and coming out of the theater all "choked-up" and emotional, just kinda made me feel strange. Not at all like the "big strong, macho man" (snicker, snicker, Ha-HA) that I was.

I know thats a stereotypical comment, sorry.

jay 04-13-2002 08:28 AM

the bird cage I don't know why I liked it and if you tell any one I did I'll have to kill you

Lilith 04-13-2002 09:00 AM

kimmer22 04-13-2002 08:15 PM

I like the movie The Doom Generation....very sick and twisted shit in it. Has anyone else ever seen this? Not many people know what I'm talking about when I say something about it.

Reverend Silky 04-13-2002 09:57 PM

yeah, that was the first and hopefully the last time i see knob-removal with shears in a movie. and the seed-slurp by that cowboy hat-wearin' fuckstick was almost as sexy as, well, the knob-removal with shears. but Rose McGowan is A-#1 swankness. mm-mm-MMM... that's what daddy likes.

jay 04-13-2002 10:02 PM

rose mcgowan is good but shes been with mr.manson and thats just not right so you can have her rev. if I can have drew
