The man and the roll is an icon at the all time top of the list.

[side note]
I spent 5 years in the physics department of a local university doing optical fiber sensor research in the late 80's, early 90's. As is common in postgraduate labs everywhere, posters of all types are on doors and walls all over. I noticed that Albert Einstein, in all forms, was the most prominent around any physics lab and the only one more common than SPOCK, then came all the other verities of posters.

He almost didn't make it, as the logical crewmember was "Number One" in the pilot.

Nimoy has taken on another Mission Impossible.

It's okay. Sheldon has a napkin with Leonard Nimoy's DNA on it. All he needs is a healthy ovum.

We're waiting for him to grow it then. :)

I've no doubt that if "Spock" could, he'd leave us with "Live Long ... and Prosper."

RIP.

He did: "A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP" -- last tweet (2015-02-23) of Leonard Nimoy.

(as quoted by numerous friends of mine all over the freakin' web.
