The Pond
 

THE POND

Sunlit pond shining bright
Dancing, sparkling in the light.
A gentle breeze stirs the water,
Tiny ripples, peaceful sight.

Sandy shore lapped by waves,
Lovely scene on minds engrave,
Nature’s own idyllic altar,
A setting lovers surely crave.

Standing by the water’s edge,
Their blanket soon it’s fullness spread
Motions like two well paired dancers,
As they lie upon their bed.

Tender kisses stir the senses
Roaming hands without pretences
Fuels their passion, getting hotter,
Building to release intense.

Passions sated, now reclining,
‘neath the sunlight finds them basking
Absorbed in watching nature’s wonder,
Souls united, fully blending.
