It's 2 am

and I just woke up so I can drive myself to the fairgrounds to walk my 3-5 am shift for Relay For Life. Has anyone else here participated? I'm proud that my team raised $2500 this year.
This year is the first time I co-chaired the team. I had a lot of reasons to walk this year in particular but know that a few of you have luminarias with your names on them. I literally signed your petitions for all to see.

Walk well.

Never did anything like that. I don't mind walking, especially for a good cause, but I've never been one for group projects like that. Have fun, drink water, and don't trip.

A group of us always helped by fixing breakfast for the Relay For Life teams on Sunday mornings. A lot of fun and a great cause!

My wife & youngest daughter do one for Autism, every year,at the Portsmouth
High School track! Each person walks for an hour. Each person is assigned(sp)

The 3-5 shift did not kill me but the 9-11 am one did. I came home and slept like a rock until 4 pm.

We were next to a camp that decorated with albums and records from the 60s and 70s. They played great music and it kept me pumped. :cheerlead

We registered for next year already and in August the process will begin again. Unless we find a cure before then :wish:

BTW since you all missed it Banana Hammoca won the Ms. Relay drag contest :p

Well I was co-chair and it was the first time either of us led the team so there were definitely some hiccups but we raised $2500. We have several Relays in my town this time of year, so I am not sure if they publish a total for this one event or for all the events. I will watch the event website to see and report back with a total if they do.

I donated a bit this year for the walk. I wish I could do it myself. :(
