Harold Pinter the influential British playwright and voice of political decent,who won the Nobel prize for literature in 2005 for a lifetime of work including: The Homecoming and The Caretaker,died Wednesday after a long battle with cancer,He was 78.

He was one of the biggies. He wrote, among others, the screenplay for The French Lieutenant's Woman.
