I did hear something about President Bush receiving an award for his efforts to combat AIDS in Africa, but it was such a Bizzarro moment, I figured it was just another one of my fevered dreams, & moved on...

There were news clips on it over here and people and doctors handing out free condoms to people out on the town.

Most of the talk was of the stigma around HIV/AIDS and that it is one of the biggest reasons people don't get tested and don't use condoms.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, President Elect Obama, former British PM Blair, and Ugandan President Paul Kagame praised President Bush’s efforts.

It bugs me that there is a new surge of people with a "live fast and who cares what the corpse looks like" mentality.

This is the first I have heard of it this year.
