Household help!
On our home in Fla,most of the windows have closeable awnings. The front addition does not! Before leaving for the season,I cut & primered some sheets
of plywood for the other windows.I then bought an item called a "storm kit". It consists of many studs that are threaded on both ends. One end has screw type threads and the other end takes a wingnut(included in the kit). The studs are installed between the windows & left there.Holes are drilled for the studs in the plywood sheets. The sheets can be installed when you're leaving & removed when you're there.I wanted people to know about the availability of the "storm kits".They are handy with the onslaught of ALL the hurricanes!
