Sad day for geeks
D & D creator dies.
|
I thought about posting this. I read it on one of my gaming message boards early this afternoon.
I started playing Dungeons and Dragons 24 or 25 years ago. I haven't played in a very very long time, but it shaped my interests and hobbies even until today. I owe many hours of entertainment to this man. Not to mention a few beatings in high school for being such a nerd. |

I've never played the game but I have a few friends who, over the years, have been very much into it and I know that they are incredibly thankful for Mr Gygax's game.
One of my favorite sites obviously has a member or two who are also fans and this is a tribute pic posted there tonight. RIP sir. |
R.I.P. sir. Your board game made the electronic transition well.

Another innovator gone.

Yeah, well, *I'm* not wasting my 5000gp diamond.

Gg, I'd slice you up for that comment, but you're not worth the XP! :)
Another man who helped shape the "down time" landscape for so many of us all. While I was into D&D many years ago, the fad passed me by, but today I own a "spin-off" computer game called Dungeon Siege 2 that my son and I occasionally spend time playing. Thank you for your contribution Mr Gygax and RIP. |

It wouldn't do you any good anyway. If you rezed him he would die right away since it sounds like he died of old age or its contributing affects. |
