"Angel Eyes"
 

Blind guitarist/singer Jeff Healy has died. He performed as the "house band" in the movie "Roadhouse".

I didn't realize it was cancer that had caused his blindness.

The song "Angel Eyes" takes me back to my college years and to thoughts of an ex-girlfriend. That's very sad news indeed that he has passed. :(

I read this earlier today.....is very sad.

RIP Jeff.

what a talented musician. Anyone who can succeed, as he did,in showing that talent overcome any disability has to be considered an inspiration.

Jeff, thank you for sharing your gifts and talent with us, Rest in Peace.

You will be missed.

I was also unaware of that. As a guitarist myself, I was in awe of how he played the guitar in his lap, to me it seemed like trying to play piano with the keyboard upside down, but listening to his soulful leads betrayed nothing that indicated his unortodox approach.

Jeff did an amazing cover version of "Stuck In the Middle With You", which I still honor by doing his version in my current band.

RIP Jeff Healy.

I somehow missed this news. He was a very talented man.
