Baby Pucker boasting thread

Well since I can't shut up about my delicious little bundle of joy, I thought that I should perhaps have a specific thread in which to keep anyone who's interested updated on his progress.

So, to kick off, yesterday he was 10 weeks old and to mark the occasion he slept through the night for the 7th night in a row, has moved out of the Moses basket into his big cot and, most excitingly, can now hold a rattle on his own if I place into his hands. Admittedly he lets go after a minute or so, but he will take it to his mouth and wave it about while looking at it. It's amazing to see how he's making sense of the world more and more....I'm just so proud of him!

He's brilliant! He takes after his Auntie Lilith

Loulabelle 02-06-2007 03:02 AM

My sister refers to him as 'My child genius' as she's convinced that he's more advanced than every other baby out there, because he's had such great head control since birth, and my mother swears she'd never seen a baby as alert as he was on the day he was born, but I put that down to a short labour and no narcotic meds.

As for me, I don't care whether he's smarter or cuter than any other child....he's the only one that's ours and that's what counts.

Oh by the way, make that 8 nights in a row now. :)

;) a warning about that head control. my little boy lifted his head and looked me right in the eyes the first time they laid him on my chest and i thought...he's brilliant! look at that! 3 hours old! NO baby has ever done that! he's going to be the best baby ever!

now i just call him the monster. :D

Hahaha! I think it's pretty common actually from what other mothers have told me......and of course he's the best baby ever but not because of that, just because he's mine!

wyndhy 02-06-2007 09:42 AM

at least you know what you're in for. :D
i wouldn't trade my son's energy (even if it means i'm beat by 8pm), curiosity(even if it means that i've already called poison contol a billion times), ingenuity(even if it means an average of 5 emergency room visits a year) or craziness(even though it makes me crazy, too) for anything.

Well once again we had a good night's sleep last night and today I took him into work to talk to my boss about returning, and she was the only person who got a smile out of him. He evidently knows how to turn on the charm and who to turn it on to! LOL

I absolutely love reading this thread. Way to go Baby Pucker, your chance to make a first impression on the boss went well. :thumb:
