Any one else having

problems with getting 'New Posts'. When I log-in and hit 'New Posts' sometimes I will get a message that says "sorry no matches found" and the "you last visited" time will change to the current date and time. Is it just my 'puter or have others had this problem????

I don't use that feature but no one else has said anything to me.

I get the "no matches found" prompt often. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but maybe sometimes the cycles of newest posts doesn't jibe with the time parameters of being "new?"

Like, you could have something "latest" posted that isn't "new" because nobody's posted in it for a spell. But if you look under a different listing matrix it's still at the top like it was new.

I think the frequency of posting is the trigger rather than literal newness. Sometimes I get five or six pages of new posts to sift through. Other times it's just one post. Funny woild, eh?

I use the New Posts feature all the time and think it's one of our better and handiest ones.:) I 'believe' it works off of your cookies and dials in to the individual. It seems to look up all the posts and new threads since you opened the last one, and arrange them by time for the last post to each thread. Once you exit New Posts, it seems to assume you have opened all that you are interest in, wipes your slate clean and begins keeping track of every post made after that time for you.

If it's a busy time, you can go back in just a few minutes and get a fair size list. If nothing has been posted since you left New Posts, you'll get that message of "No New Posts".

There does seem to be a timer that will not let you go to the next page of posts, if you have let it sit too long. I normally go to the last page (when there are more then one page (25) of post and work my way back. It will allow you to back up from the one you last opened, but not go forward if the time has been too long.

This just happens right after loging in, after that it works fine, but just since I've logged in. I think it is miss reading the cookies and it just started in the last week or two.

Have you tried cleaning your cookies, maybe in a warm glass of milk?! :)
