What's the OLDEST you've had?

the oldest DRINK! What were YOU thinking?

When rumaging thru the basement yesterday, my cousins and I stumbled across a bottle of Bourbon tucked away in a closet.

Fourty months old when Bottled in 1948, and 86 proof. ( I'm thinking its more than that now)

It got me thinking that it was the "oldest" drink I've ever had.

What's your oldest?

Not really sure. About the only thing that comes to mind is that my best friend's dad has a bottle of Canadian Club whiskey that has seemingly been around forever and we'll occasionally take a shot from it.

When I was in Germany I stumbled across a bottle of schnapps dated 1938 it was about half full and was like drinking rocket fuel it made me sick as a dog. Yet it was still good.

See if this counts...

In my closet, there is an unopened bottle of Coke with a special label celebrating the 1983 Auburn Tigers SEC championship (not an AU fan here, just family-wide packrat tendencies)...since this predates the "New Coke" fiasco by a year, I've often wondered if I shouldn't have popped the top on this one for a side-by-side taste test with the so-called Coke Classic...

naaaahhhh...

I'm more of a beer guy I suppose, when I have drunk wine it's not been very old as I have beer money ;)

I had a bottle of Coors Light in the back of the fridge for like forever and drank it not long ago. :)

About 30 seconds. That's as long as a mudslide lasts around me :D

I picked up a bottle of white wine on the street one night in front of this wine shop. It was still corked and wrapped, so I thought I was getting a deal. Took that shit home, uncorked it, took one sip and that shit tasted so old and ass-rank that I spit it out like a rattlesnake does venom.
