It's no coincidence...
I just read Connecticut Magazine's article rating the top towns & cities in the state and the common denominator was not money, but voter turnout.
Yep...the lowest voter turnout in the top 20 was 73.56%. And that was in the "Cities over 50,000 in population" category. The overall average was in the 80's. Voting makes a difference in quality of life. |
Voting is a measure of social responsibility, which must flow into how we deal within the community.

I'm not at all surprised. Living in a state where 1/3 of all African American men can't vote, I see the results of disenfranchisement. People must feel like they have a say and that their say counts.
