Today and on the three following Saturdays, the FMT Network will be broadcasting the four operas of Richard Wagner’s Ring Cycle, “Der Ring des Nibelungen”.

Here is the schedule:

November 11 - 1:30 - Das Rheingold
November 18 - 1:00 - Die Walküre
November 25 - 1:00 - Siegfried
December 02 - 1:00 - Götterdämmerung

Be warned! They are not for the faint of heart! These are the types of opera the were satirized by Professor Henry Higgins (Rex Harrison) in the musical & movie “My Fair Lady” in the song "I'm an Ordinary Man" “…she'll have a large wagnarian mother, with a voice that shatters glass”.
