Going to the doctor

Campingboy's question on being bare in the gym reminded me of my own question. :help:

I haven't been to a doctor in 14 years. Yeah, yeah I know that is bad. The no insurance thing sort of dictated that and not getting sick worked in my favor. Anyway!!! My wonderful Sweetie seems to feel my lack of medical supervision is paramount to Global Warming, soooooooo I'm being sent to the doctors in the next few weeks for a total check-up. He even thinks I need my girls :boobs: smashed!! I don't wanna do that but I will. :frown:

My real question is for the women... and men who shave their bits bare. How used to seeing me as smooth as a baby's butt will this small town, Southern doctor be? I could stop shaving, but I don't think it will be grown back by the time I go to the doctor for him not to know that I in some recent history shaved my pubes off. Not that I really care. But I do care. You know?? Anyway, what experiences, stories can you all share to make me feel better, laugh, or chew my nails off with anxiety?

Thanks :) and for those laughing. STOP IT!! :spank:

I've been to the doctor several times since I've been shaved. Of course I have issues with male doctors, so my doctors are all female. I figure they've seen it all and what I'm showing them isn't anything new. Even in a small town in the South.

I doubt it will be an issue. They will be too busy trying to check everything else that has not been checked in 14 years.

You worry about the wrong things. Seriously.

I've never had any dr make a comment about my lack of pubic hair. They're all too worried about telling me that my eggs are aging and I should think about having babies to focus ont he hair.

I'm just glad you're getting yourself checked. That's the important thing. We'll be thinking of you ... shaved pubes and all :D

I allowed my hair to grow back when I got pregnant, as the bump got in the way while shaving and because I was a little concerned that the midwife might think it was 'weird'. However, recently I was prescribed antibiotics which gave me horrible thrush so I shaved as the hair was making the irritation worse.

My midwife did not bat an eyelid for even a split second during my next appointment. It clearly made not a jot of difference to her whatsoever.

I think there are a lot more shaven women out there than you realise. It may even be more rare for the doc to see hair down there than not!

Thanks everyone. I know it's silly to be concerned and believe me I'm much more concerned about other aspects of going to the doctor. I will suck it up and like my Joe says, be a good gurl and get it done.

Oh and DB, thanks for thinking of me. :brows:

It's very wrong of you to include "suck it up" in the same thread as a discussion on your most intimate of areas.

As mesmerizing as they are...the doctor will most likely be concentrating on your overall wellbeing.

Once he regains consciousness. :p

I know how you feel, I felt the same a couple of years ago I had to see my doctor about bleeding after sex. I knew I didn't have time to grow the hair back, and I also didn't know how common it was to be shaved over here, and I didn't have any friends I could ask.

So I just booked an appointment with a female doctor, and she didn't bat an eyelid, but then it wouldn't have been very professional of her if she had.

It got worse when I had to go see a gynecologist, and he was a black male doctor (first black man I've had between my thighs lol). I did feel he looked at me differently after he examined me, but I just ignored the thought, and got on with finding out what was going to be done.

The thing to remember is, they've probably seen far worse things than a shaved pussy, like female circumcision for example...

Don't worry about it, and I hope it all goes well.

Ohhhh my, I am sooooo sorry for putting that thought into your dirty, little mind. :brows:

Thanks Natures Gift. My new doctor just happens to be a black man. :D My boyfriend saw him for the first time today and thinks he is going to be awesome. He was very professional and knew his stuff. I'm sure I will be fine. I will find out in a couple of weeks.

Sweetie, in my experience over the last couple of years with the doctors visits my doc ( a very handsome guy) has seen me in many ways. I personally asked him about it (is it good or better or something I shouldn't do) and he just non-chantly said it was what ever I perfered. No medical reasoning or crap behind it. He has seen me from full hair to no hair and everywhere in between. So dont worry so much. I personally think it is the cleanliness factor that makes me do what I do.

The only comment he has ever made was that he was glad that I took care of myself due to the fact that some women dont.

Let us know how the doctor visit goes. Sending good vibe for a clean bill of health.

I saw this and almost laughed. It reminds me of when we were all in high school and we had our exams at the end. It's almost the same thing here, she has the exam and won't find out the results until the end.....I wonder what she will get.
