Getting your Computer Visitor friendly?
So what do you have to do, if anything, if you have company coming over to stay with you? Almost all of my guests have wanted to access the internet during their stay with me. That means that they need to get on my computer.
So is your computer Guest Ready? I have to change my Screen Saver and desk top. Well not all of my Screen Savers or desk tops are naughty, but there are a few that I would not want my Sister / Aunt / Parents looking at! Campingboy |
I should hide my porn. I am a very open person though and if they find it well, they get what they get.

Hehehe...
*Guest pokes around Lil's computer* "Hmmm, what's this fuzzybum.jpg? An unshaven homeless guy?" <click>... :yikes: :roflmao: |
Campingboy,
WinZIP with password. |
I just hide all my folders (invissie) i dont want people looking at.....same as my favorites *L*

You can make yourself administrator of your computer and add a guest log-in - very easy to do on XP. As administrator you will have a log in password... on a guest account you wouldn't need one. That way all of your files will be safe and you don't have to hide anything.. : )

^^^^^That is exactly what I would do.

What Chey said :)
(...and almost anything else Cheyanne would say :p ) |
Just don't have guests that aren't Pixies. Too easy.

It's more difficult to remove gay porn channels from your cable package, according to my old gay friend. He hates dealing with cable customer service when his nieces & nephews visit him. |
Have them use the computer my wife has on our phone desk in the kitchen. :)

Phone desks remind me of rotary phones. :) |

It's easy for me. When the grandkids come I tell them they can play on Grandma's computer but not mine. They don't ask questions.
