Led Zeppelin Guitarist
Who is...?
I watched Jeopardy the other night and was floored that none of the contestants knew the name of the man who played what is arguably the most famous guitar solo ever. So I'm curious... how many Pixies' know his name? I know there are people that won't because they're younger or maybe it's just not the style of music they listen to, but I've always thought it was fairly well known. So... do you know? |
Robert Plant or Jimmy Page?
|
i do now. :p:D:D

Without looking on the net, no I don't. My husband is only a few months older than I am and he soooooo loves that type of music and he gets aggrevated that I dont know all of it. So, he'd probably know for sure.

![]() JIMMY IS THEE BEST GUITARIST EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! http://www.ledzeppelin.com/site_flash/ http://www.jimmypageonline.com/ |
I know his name & also know he was into S&M.
Whenever a Canadian question comes on Jeopardy, I'd say 90% of the time either nobody answers or they get it wrong. |
Jimi Hendricks

Good ol' Jimmy Page
and hasn't every budding guitarist hammed out Stairway to Heaven (usually badly) in a guitar shop at some point? Although shop owners may hate the tune now, it was probably a welcome relief at the time as it would have cut out hours of House of the Rising Sun! |
Wow...I didn't think so few people would know.
My favorite Page/Zep "story" is the red herring party in L.A.!!!! :trout: |
I just yelled it out to ask him and he was like "oh brother Jimmy Page". LIke I said, he can't understand why I dont know these things. :yikes:
His question to you guys: Ok, does anyone know the drummer to Led Zepplin? Hint: His son is on a reality show right now. |
I didn't know Jason was on a reality show.
And yes... I know the drummer's name too. |
John Bonham
|
was it Chris Bonham? i am not so good on drummers!

He's the drummer on Super Group...I believe on VH1. Yeah, it was John Bonham. |
Webb Wilder covered Steve Earle's "The Devil's Right Hand", & added a disclaimer in the intro:
"This song has nothing to do with Satanism, the occult, Jimmy Page's photo collection, or Beelzebub!" JP is also mentioned by name in Paul McCartney's "Rock Show"..."Just like a relic from another age" jbh3, could you be referring to the story immortalized in Frank Zappa's "Mud Shark"? That actually occurred in the Seattle area, there used to be a hotel there where bored rock stars could fish from the balcony of their rooms...nobody ever admitted to what really happened (at least not while the statute of limitations applied), but it supposedly involved certain members of LZ, a groupie, & some fish, while Mark Stein of Vanilla Fudge filmed it for posterity... |
