clubbin w/o dancing

I'm thinking of going to a club tomorrow, but I don't dance. I just don't feel comfortable enough to let myself go. Maybe after watching what some other dudes do it I'd be brave enough to dance. I'd probably have to have a few drinks to get me to that point and I simply won't drink and drive. I asked a similar question on picking up a guy at a gay club one time but I'm looking for a woman now a days.

My question is, what do I say when asked to dance? One suggestion was that I simply say "I didn't come here to dance." With a guy, I could get away with that but I'd probably get slapped if I said that to a girl. At least I would think so. So what do you suggest I say?

Another question is what to say if I feel brave enough to go up to a girl? I don't want to ask someone to dance and I don't want to be buying strangers drinks all night. Any suggestions?

thanks everyone,

"I'm not a dancer, but why not, yes, lets give it a whirl.

Laugh too hard and it's your next buy."

Let me say though that I often watch a man dance not to see if he is physically capable of being good in bed but to see how willing he is to try regardless of talent :D

A fun-loving goofy dancer will possibly be a fun-loving goofy lover.
A self-restrained uncomfortable dancer will possibly be a self-restrained uncomfortable lover. JMO
