Happy Pi Day

3.14 get it? :D

At my son's highschool it is a huge celebration. He is going as the "Pied Piper" and another friend as "Luke Piwalker". They also have coupons for pies hidden all over the school. I think this is a great way to get kids excited about Math.

How do you plan on celebrating Pi day?

I saw something about this yesterday, and meant to post a wee thread for Panty........ must be an age thing, or something, cos I TOTALLY forgot about it! :(

Here's a link to something that might be of use/fun for y'all though.

that's nifty - I must say some math geek might make it big in the Hallmark industry for coming up with this idea :)

Since PI is approximately ...

3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375 10582097494459230781640628620899862803482534211706 79

... does that mean it's approximately PI day

:D

It's only exactly Pi at one point during the day, but you can do so much less with Pi Second.

Are they charting their activities on a Pi Graph, I wonder?
