Strange Bird
 

There is a strange bird in the skies over Darwin.

For you fellow aerosexuals (folks who get off on planes), it's called PROTEUS and it's here for a huge weather study.

There's an ex-East German spy plane, an old Dornier turboprop and promise of NASAs WB-57

Atmospheric Research plane.

There was talk of the ER2 (old U-2) platform here too, but I think it's wishful thinking.

I had the same thought...reminds me of the old "Fly United" posters in the head shop...

Neat plane....but then I like airshows, even though I hold my breath for most of it lol.
