Kiss My Ass Goodbye
That's what I'm seeing as the most productive course of action at the prospect of the bird flu. Even our garden variety strains of influenza seem to be becoming resistant to the 2 main anti-viral drugs. I'm wondering how other people, other countries, are feeling about the prospect of birdflu becoming transmitted person to person. Is it in the news in your area?

It is definately in the news here but not so much what is being done about it, but rather the dire results from a pandemic arising due to this flu.
I find myself looking at chicken with a suspicious eye lately. I am of the thought that Alfred Hitchcock is in stitches over this and I guess my mother was wrong reassuring me after seeing the movie The Birds, that birds could never hurt us! |
At first I thought this was going to be a 1950’s air raid drill. Now I see it’s about one possible correction to the population issue. Could bird flu be the cliff for us lemmings?

Ahhhh, a follower of Malthus ^^^, I believe :D
I'm starting to wonder about the viability of becoming a bubble girl. :D |
We all thought that AIDS would be the Malthus agent.
Maybe bird flu will instead. I am in Australia's major city closest to Indonesia, one of the countries already hit by the bug. |
As Oldfart alluded to it,is it another in the long line of planet killing plagues that did not materialize?
AIDS Salmanella E-boli H527 Hong Kong flu But kissing your ass, now thats a different story. :D |
Don't kiss Ebola goodbye yet.
We don't even know where that sucker hides between outbreaks. |
I'm getting worried. I was walking out to the car and felt this irresistible urge to bob my head and pick up some seed I spotted on the ground.
