I make fancy finger foods and we watch movies, then watch the ball drop. At midnight I kiss all my lovies.

My New Years Eve will be spent watching TV until around 9 when I go to bed as I have to be at work the next morning at 4

I can't wait to play "dodge the drunk" on my drive to work!!!! :D

I also make a bunch of finger foods and dips. A co-worker gave me a recipe for reuben dip that is served with party size rye bread that I am going to try out this year.

We watch movies and then watch the ball drop... I am afraid that not all of my lovies are willing to take kisses : ( other than Cobalt and my daughter but we say we love each other in the old year and once the new year starts we say it again. : )

Mr. Lixy and I hardly ever go out on NY's Eve anymore since he's had his CDL with the Hazmat endorsement. One drink and one pull over and I'll be baking a cake with a file in it for him! He just recently had to go get fingerprinted for F.B.I. files and then again for Homeland Security files. YIKES!

But we might test the waters this year, because we haven't seen our bestest friends yet in this holiday season due to Rocky's illness. We have X-mas pressie's for them and we miss the stuffins outta them too!

Here's an extremely easy "finger" food to try if anyone needs to make something for the evening but is short of time.

"Mary's Easy Cheeseball" (my mother-in-law)

3 pks cream cheese...8 oz. each...softened
2 pks. dried beef...finely diced...reserve 1/3 (found in the isle with packaged deli meat)
4-5 scallions...finely chopped...green tops only (may omit or use more if preferred)
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. Accent® flavor enhancer (optional if not available)

Mix softened cream cheese, dried beef, scallions, garlic salt and Accent in a bowl as if making a meat loaf. Form into a ball instead of a loaf. Roll ball in reserved dried beef. Serve at room temperature with a variety of crackers.

Easy as hell ^^^ but the raves about it will make you the hit of the party!

My Mum and I are hosting a party at her house for all my luvvie friends (from my drama group! LOL).....we'll eat drink and dance until midnight, and then ring the new year in with a rousing rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody the way we always do no doubt.

I get to kiss my lovie this year.........we'll hang at home........I quit going out a few years back.

Ask me did I miss the ^^^ mush? :D

I'm probably just staying home. We may have hit City Hall but Dan doesn't want to go downtown after a major shootout on Yonge St. on Boxing Day.

Every year, we have a huge-assed all weekend party. Right now, my family room is full of people I can't stand, and I didn't invite, and I don't want here. Fucking hate having housemates sometimes.

Yeah, happy freakin' new year.

Food, drink, music, board and card games with family members, lotsa laughs, noisemakers at midnight, better "noise" after midnight :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL PIXIES!!!!!

Usually we go over to a friend's house....since they had their first baby 4 years ago, they don't want to go out...so we go and keep 'em company.

BUT this year we're in SF and they're in Ohio ~~ so we'll probably stay home.

We're going to the Casino for dinner and music with friends.

Fireworks if this bloody rain takes a break.

Well, this year we (4 of us) are going out to a restaurant in a nearby village, which my daughter absolutely adores!

We'll work through a 5-course meal (gulp!) and a bunch of singing, dancing and the like..... finally fall into bed about 3a.m.!!
