Cupid, draw back your bow.....

This past weekend, Fussy and I introduced two of our friends on a blind date to see if they hit it off.

Let's just say that their date started on Saturday night and didn't end until Monday morning. We haven't been able to get the smile of their faces, and they're planning on spending all of next weekend together too......

Have you ever tried to play cupid with your friends?

How well did it work, or are you a believer that you should let these things run their own course and not get involved?

Yes, tried it.

No, it was a very bad idea.

Awwwwwwww...ain't love grand?

Tried it once with my sis and Mr. Lixy's high school friend. Didn't work out and I swore off getting involved ever since!

I have a friend who keeps insisting on fixing me up no matter how many times I tell her NO...and the last time was a disaster...I'll just stay single thanks..lol

Don't think we've done it ... but our friends in high school did. My boyfriend arranged with his girlfriend for us to double-date. So, they introduced me to my blind date and we've now been married 42 years. Sometimes it works. :)

I've played matchmaker a few times and had good results.............been awhile thou, I'd only do it again if the signs were there.

ive been on the recieving end of someones match making abilities twice now...

First one started off well and then went south just under a year and an "i do" later

Second one you all know about and its still GOOOOOODD

I don't think I've fixed anyone up mainly because that when I was set up myself it ended very badly then again it's hard to be on a double date with a couple that rarely come up for air. For some reason the conversation seems to die right there.

I'd never match make. :D

Yes, with excellent results.

We have fixed up 4 couples that got married and 3 are still married after many years.

imaginewithme 11-29-2005 11:22 AM

We introduced my best friend to Mr. IWM's life long friend who have now been married for about 4 years.
But, no I normally don't want to get involved.

Time has taught me that trying to make love happen can be like air-lifting yourselves & your friends into a minefield without a map, but I see nothing wrong with introducing mutual friends in a neutral setting, & watching to see if some little sparks fly...

Nope...i aint no-ones love life manager
