Yay Canada! It seems like only yesterday that we went nutso for your 125th!

The only thing I miss about living in the capital city is the huge party on Parliament Hill for Canada Day (I found the city dull as dishwasher the other 364 days of the year).

Australia's Northern Territory has had it's own special day today,

as today is the 30th anniversary (or so) of limited self-government.

We can run our own affairs so long as Canberra doesn't over-rule us.

We had fire-works, one of only two places in Oz where irresponsible people like me

can let off explosives in public drinking champagne in the company of consenting witnesses.

From where I sit at the Waterfront here,there's a great view of the Fireworks displays there..Very Impressive!..I love Canada,anyway..Do all my gambling there,lol..Not giving this gov't an extra nickel of my money for taxes..Visit the Falls there,every year,too..Just better on that side..My Uncle was once in the Guiness museum there,as the tallest man in the world
