There are portions of songs (lyrics, musical phrase, guitar rift, beat, etc) that create a lasting impression or special feeling within us.

What’s a portion of a song that works for you?

Here’s one from Queen that ROCKintime just couldn’t pass up as a starter for this thread:

I love music .... lots of variety .... but for this moment .... there are 2 that come immediately to mind .... they often do

1. Whenever I'm not feeling very well .... (James Taylor from Fire and Rain) ... "My body's aching and my time is at hand ... "

and

2. When I'm feeling kind of "fzzy" and romantic ..... from Carol King .. "Tonight you're mine completely ... you give your love so sweetly ... tonight, the light of love is in your eyes, but will you love me tomorrow?"

First one in my mind is:

mmmmm.... some 'hot' memories from that song!! :D

Many times I have a little Bonnie Raitt slip through my mind "I could have been the best old friend, that you.... ever had" How many times has that applied?

I would be remiss if I didn't mention my favorite Elvis song:
