Rain Rain Go Away, Come Again Another Day

NOT!!

Its currently raining (more like heavy showering) and we need it to drop bucketloads!

My city is getting desparate...the damns have approximately 18 months (so a leaked official type document states) left before my city runs dry of drinkable water and has to look elsewhere

We are on the verge of dropping to the next water restriction level...business that rely on water usage are already putting workers off as 'no water....no business'

Anyone know any rain dances or surefire ways to get rain. Wanna do a raindance for me? :D *LOL*

Yea for you....somehow we got snow 4 days before May...

I know a Comanche Medicine Man I could send ,but he hasn't helped us much we haven't had any measurable rain here since Jan.

I've always found washing the car to be a surefire way to get it to rain...failing that, planning a major outdoor activity (esp. if it involves a major expenditure of $$$$) to bring on the cats & dogs...

I know fuck all about meterology but I've heard of something called cloud seeding...

cherrypie7788 04-27-2005 06:31 AM

Maybe you ought to move to Tennessee, seems like all it does is rain here lately! LOL

i've heard of something that has to do with a pound cake, a red bandana around your privates and some stomping feet. legend says it will work every time.

i hope it rains bucketloads soon, sharni.

Would that depend on the size of the clouds?, too. :)

BTW ... I washed my car a couple of days ago and we got about 1/2 inch yesterday. So, I washed it again today and it's now suppose to rain tonight and tomorrow and all the way through Sunday (off and on).

Sharni

If you ask the idiot in West Oz who wants to divert the Ord River nicely, he may

run a spur line down BrisVegas way.

Sharni 04-27-2005 01:16 PM

*LOL*...washing your car will sonn be a non event....as it is you must wash it by bucket...only using the hose to quickly rinse it off

And yep have tried the above...and hanging out washing (which is sposed to cause rain)

As for cloud seeding...i think you'd need to have clouds first.....even they're rare i'm afraid

Oldfart ~ Some twit want to divert a river??

They wanted to run a big pipe to collect Brisbanes waste water to use up here for farmers and such....but nope.....some idiot reckons thats not worth the cost...not them thats running outta water is it!
