sorry my Grams crocheted :D

You better invest in additional knitting needles and start a new one or that scarf is gonna be a mile long!

Sweetie this is the best that I can do, since all I can do is crochet. I have been crocheting since I was about 12. Tried to knit once..bout had a nervous breakdown! lol

A NEW PRODUCT!! :jump:
ROLL-A-SCARF Put it in a vending machine and charge $2 a foot. Hack off as much as you want on a cold day. :thumb: ;) PM SugarSprinkles. She knows all that sewing stuff. |
Dangerous Pet-
Just wanted to say: Good luck with the scarf. I cant even sew with needle and thread so I am of no help. |
Here's how it's done ... knit 2 together and put the remaining stitch back on the original needle, then knit 2 together and put the remaining stitch back on the original needle ... do that until you have only 1 stitch remaining .... then cut your yarn and pull it through. if you have other questions feel free to PM me. :) fzzy

Dangerous Pet,
There's a great website with all sorts of video tutorials. It's called StitchGuide.com. They have them for knitting, crochet, needlepoint, embroidery and a few other needlecrafts. You need the one for binding off. Here's the link: http://www.stitchguide.com/stitches...n_bind_off.html I hope this helps. Nice to see there are other crocheters and knitters here. You gave a very clear and concise explanation, fzzy. I wouldn't have been able to explain it as clearly, hence the link for video. Sometimes it's just easier if one can actually see it being done. |
I found another site that has video. It appears to be a very helpful site with a lot of information.
http://www.knittinghelp.com/ This one is only for knitting. It also has patterns. |
ahh... SugarSprinkles, thank you for the websites!!
i shal be attempting to finish my lovely scarf tonight! i'll let you know how it turns out! oh... i'm left handed so everything is backwards for me!!!! which is why i think i'm having trouble cuz all the directions are for right handed people!!! damn this right handed society we live in to you all who croche--so does my mom, but she couldnt teach me that either... been a while since she has done it and she was no good at explaining it! booo to her. thank you all for your help!!!! *kisses* ~Pet |
I'm really glad I could help, DP. I've done a little searching and found some sites with help for left-handed knitters. I hope they prove useful.

Oh, no, DP, if I had to choose between playing and knitting (or crocheting), it would definitely be a no-brainer!!! Sex trumps hobbies ANYTIME!!! I'm glad I was able to help with the links. If you need anything else, just ask and I'll do my best to help. |
