Ellen MacArthur’s round-the-world journey
 

Ellen MacArthur is sailing solo around the world.

Distance sailed so far: 27,023 miles. Left to finish: 262 miles

She is one day 18 hours ahead of record holder Francis Joyon's track at the same stage. She must reach the finish line off Ushant, France in the morning of February 9th to beat the mark of 72 days, 22 hours, 54 minutes and 22 seconds set by Joyon last year.

Wow.. that was interesting! And I haven't seen a peep about it in the Nightly News!!!

I emailed her! What an inspiring event. I've never been sailing and I certainly can't imagine doing that alone.

Ellen MacArthur remains on course to complete her round-the-world voyage in record-breaking time.

As of about an hour ago, she was still one day and nine hours ahead of Francis Joyon's world record! She must finish before 7:04 GMT on Wednesday to beat Joyon's world record.

If you see a star so close, but you think it's unfathomable to touch...reach out and try to grab it!. Who knows...you may be the first to grab a star!
