Blocked

Haven't submitted any stories for the pleasure of fellow Pixians due to a writers block. Some are familiar with my writing style but of late have ran into a block of a sorts to compose something that might entreat a person's imagination. I guess I wish to know how you all handle creative blocks.

Ditto

The more I try to force it the more frustrating it becomes and the more I obsess. It is an evil vicious cycle for me.

There's nothing more you CAN do except wait them out. I find that when I try to write through a block it only serves to frustrate me more. I've been writing since I can remember and I've went through "block periods" that lasted months. Sorry :(

If I'm really blocked and a deadline is hanging over my head, sometimes I'll just start typing. That act can often get the juices flowing - both creative and otherwise, depending on the subject matter.

Usually 90 percent is rubbish but often it leads to the kernal of something that can be refined and polished it a workable idea.

Anyway, good luck to you.

Ok here's some advice that usually helps me through a "block". Firstly I turn off the computer, get some tissues and head off to my room. Get some porn out and toss away like a madman. Once I finish and tidy up, I get back on the computer and find that everything just flows once again. If it's a "block" for more than a week I don't worry about it. I go on the net and come here to pixies and get inspiration from the stories here. Then PING (lightbulb) turns on in my head and I start once again.

Here is one of mine that might help you........
