Some of my work
Condolences, My Vampire
Today we celebrate the beauty of Black Death Who came to steal away my life’s breath He crept closer with his lips in a sneer Hoping to induce in me a petrifying fear He was puzzled as I glanced at him lovingly For this is what I had dreamed of—him and me I have noticed how the light has been stolen The darkness each day becoming more golden Still he came closer, so calmly and so silent This was one indulgence I would not repent I waited with eager and poisoned mind for his approach Longing for his silent passion to swiftly encroach The silence that embraced us compelled romance Until he arrived in my arms, I in a trance His face so pale yet eyes that surely glowed And living flames dancing within vividly showed He spoke not a word though his cool breath raced And I knew that I was soon to be erased I did not find it odd there lacked a beat For his heart had died long ago, a body without heat I smiled for this guilt was about to begin Such a dark future in this enticing sin So long I waited this night to arrive Dying repeatedly in my dreams, hating to survive A flush of warmth on my cheeks For it is my life’s blood that he seeks A passionate kiss is stolen away Excitement ever-increasing, come what may Tilting my head to receive his bite Now feeling the tickle of fangs so light My breath quickens, my heart starts to race The fangs gently searching and trace A shiver of ecstasy, his hands on my face His movements are so delicate, like a fine lace A slight gasp as the fangs pierce their mark I revel in the composition of the growing dark I feel colder, though within the fire blazes He finishes and into my eye, he gazes A glistening trickle from his seducing smile And I see nothing remotely horrible or vile We lay together until called by the dawn A dead life begun, a living one forgone A curse well-paid for purity ran astray We dance for death and keep hope at bay Condolences to myself for giving life away But it is with you, my vampire, I will forever lay |
And another...
Romance of the Virgin
Soft caresses on skin so soft and pink A mind devoured, a heart left to think Warmth glowing, two people drawing near Each holding the other so very dear The brush of a kiss on a tender shoulder Then lingering on red lips, growing quite bolder Slow movements in time with eternity A place of perfection and serenity It is a living dream, suspended in magic The candles jump and dance around their wick Arms wrapped around their silent lover So much more emotion yet to discover Bodies entwined become closer still Both driven by a tempting thrill Faces becoming flushed red as a rose Yet the hidden intensity steadily grows A gasp of delight, bodies arch in unison Neither ashamed for this deed they’ve done Heaving breaths keeping time to the darkness Nothing could topple their infinite happiness A tickle of fingertips tracing gently This is what true love was meant to be They chase dreams holding each other close Yet more victims of love’s enchanting overdose |
