A friend of mine was describing a book she'd read about couples and communication entitled, "The Five Love Languages." It's all about the way people communicate their love for one another--that no particular way is "right," but that a difference in preference among partners can lead to some problems in communication and hurt feelings. To my surprise, Acts of Service was also my first. I'd have been good money I was a "Words of Affirmation" girl. :)

I don't agree with mine, maybe I'm not in tune with myself. :confused:

I read or heard somewhere that couples who, while relating a story of a shared experience with a group of friends or family, refer to their S/O for help recalling pertinent information...even if they know the information themselves...just to include them in the conversation...are a couple with a sign of a strong and lasting relationship. I just thought I'd share that with you all...but now that I have it seems kinda insignificant and off the topic, huh? LOL! Well...maybe not. Mr. Lixy and myself always draw from one another's memory when chatting with friends of something we did.
