whats up all you sexy pixies people.......I am a guy and I was wondering what is the best way to get a clean shaved look down below........I have heard horror stories about "nair" and wondered how safe it is.........I would really like to avoid blisters on my balls if at all possible :)

True story, recent case in a hospital:

A man showed up in the ER with fever, chills, and pain in his scrotum after shaving his scrotum. He was found by ultrasound to have an abcess in his scrotum and found by blood cultures to have bacterial infection in his blood stream. He became septic, needed ICU care with IV antibiotics, septic shock, and (hold onto your seats guys) needed to have his scrotal abcess surgically opened and drained. That's right, a scalpel to the scrotum.

Consider that fair warning ; )

Don't use nair! Don't ask...just take my word for it!

I shave my balls. It feels good (during and after, ha ha), I like the appearance, I just feel more comfortable, and my wife is less squeamish about fellatio.

Once or twice a week, I lather up with conditioner or shaving cream and shave my shaft, sack, and taint. I don't suggest you use shampoo or soap because they're too harsh on sensitive skin. I also suggest you use a razor that's been used once or twice on your face. Nothing bleeds like a nicked nutsack!

My understanding is the guy I mentioned above was a heroine abuser, so maybe the message isn't "Be careful shaving," but rather is, "Be careful shaving when you're high."

I used Nair on my legs once, and it burned like hell. I've got sensitive skin, but still! No way I'd ever use it again, much less on a sensitive area.

Just my opinion... I respect anyone's right to do what works for them, hairwise or otherwise. But I personally like hair. My sweetheart doesn't shave, and neither do I. If he wanted to, it would be ok as long as he did it for himself (rather than to impress me, which it wouldn't!).... but I'm damn glad he doesn't.

I don't shave down there. It would make a 1,000,000 crabs homeless.

I would make a good Buddhist, but I hate sandals.

I have shaved before also. My secret was to take a bath and during to lather up and shave. I used a ladies 3 blade razor and had no problems at all.

Oh I almost forgot. I would trim your pubes before starting to shave. it just makes things a little easier.
