If you hold back, is the O better?
 

Just curious.

I've been close to orgasm several times in the past couple of weeks but haven't gone all the way.

If I wait, should the orgasm be more explosive or is it luck of the draw?

I know it can be more intense if I hold off during one session... but I don't know about getting close and then stopping over a period of days. I couldn't do it. lol

My question is... Why on Earth would you want to hold out? :p

I don't honestly know. I know if that the foreplay lasts longer, if you tease me more, the O is MUCH better.

BUT, as demonstrated this last week (grrrr), if you push me over that edge and then stop me...I hang fire. You're then gonna have to break endurance records to get me off...and I will be a grouchy little minx until I DO get off. And it's not a record breaking orgasm when I do, it's more of a relief than a release.

I'm not sure which "close" you've been, or if you react the same way I do. Kinda curious to find out, now ;).

I think it is good to hold out some...however, it doesn't work to hold back too much. I think getting frustrated doesn't let the person enjoy it as much when it happens if they are just frustrated. I have noticed with *someone* right before I start to orgasm he will tell me to hold it....omg that is hott!! It also helps me enjoy it.....once I get permission. :p :D

Steph at least for me it doesn't seem to make a big difference. I usually have stronger orgasms the more I have in one session, but if I can hold back a bit they do get better. But if I wait a week or two I've never noticed that mine are any more intense, just a lot more desired!

My orgasms are not predictable that way. I could have gotten off last night and then turned around and had an intense orgasm today (the yummy leg quaking kind). If during one session, I am brought to the edge over and over, then the orgasm is usually pretty explosive.

Aqua, I wasn't actually trying to hold out, it was the way it went. Now I'm using it as a social experiment. And compared to most guys I know, I'm a freak. They can go four times a day, I can go four times a month when single.

GingerV, the only person I can be cranky with at this time is me (OK, I do blame a system crash at one point ;) ). I do think it might be tough to get off at this point unless I buy the new Oral B.

for me, the intensity has nothing to do with how many or how few i've had in any given period of time. i didn't have any Os for over a month while i was rucouping from the c-sec. (although i did give bigbad a bj or two and my sexual frustration was a palpable ache) and when i finally felt that i could handle one, it was sort of anti-climactic so to speak. it didn't hurt, and it didn't take long for me to get "there" but it was just sorta...eh. i find it's the way it comes, the uh... method...if you will. and most of all, it has to do with what i'm thinking about when the point of no return is upon me that can make it a legs-turned-into-jello orgasm.

if i hold out during the same session it definately gets better...get close, then back away....get closer, then back again...so when i finally do cum it is definately a release! In more ways than one, when i do that i tend to cum ALOT more, especially if i stop the flow then i do cum...it really shoots out with some force.......anyone else do this for fun when coating special places ?

In years past, my orgasm would be stronger if I would build up, stop, and build up again, etc. I've never done that a number of times over several days' time, however, to see what would happen. I won't even do it on purpose in one session any more, because all too often I will have happen what GingerV described--teasing myself too much and then having a hell of a time coming at all. And then when it DOES finally happen, it's a blip rather than a firecracker. I do find that if I don't do ANYTHING for a few days, my orgasm will be much stronger when I DO have one again.
