Florida. I can't believe 2 biggies already! It's a long time until November.

Doesn't look like a good weekend for you guys. Careful everyone! Let's just wish the steam outta this one!

Steph 09-02-2004 06:56 AM

Man! This is crazy! They're evacuating again?

imaginewithme 09-02-2004 06:58 AM

Ok, here's my husband's solution last night.....everyone in Florida get to the coast of Miami and just blow as hard as we can and see if it'll go away..... ya think he could tell I was a bit nervous watching it on the news?

The news compared the size of it to Charley and it's friggin huge. I hate the "wait" tho.

Oldfart 09-02-2004 08:37 AM

Hope it blows right by you.

Not looking too good for us next cyclone season starting November.

Lilith 09-02-2004 11:41 AM

It's going to be awful ...it's nearly twice as large and just as dangerous.

Cheyanne 09-02-2004 06:07 PM

Just saw the news... that storm could fit over Iowa from border to border!

All of you be safe..........and keep us updated the best you are able.

sodaklostsoul 09-03-2004 12:19 AM

I'm praying it turns!!!! Stay safe all.

Lilith 09-03-2004 06:15 AM

I can feel it...the panic the whole state is experiencing. Quiet worry and swift actions. My town is flooded with people running from the storm. Hotels are completely filled and the highways are parking lots.

Steph 09-03-2004 07:35 AM

It must be so draining to have to go through this again so soon! So exhausting!

The only thing I can compare it to weather-wise was when we were getting two blizzards a week in Newfoundland a few winters. You'd just spend two hours shovelling and the blizzard would hit again that night. Not nearly as extreme, of course, and nothing compared to picking up debris after a hurricane.
