sweat--and--blood

September--the Start of the regular NFL season.

For some of you this post is about as exciting as say...cleaning ear wax, but for others it is mother's milk.

So who will you cheer for?
Any predictions for this season?
Have you ever played football and what possition?

Lilith 08-11-2004 07:50 PM

Packers for STO...otherwise I don't care.

Rumple1263 08-11-2004 08:13 PM

You dont even want to get me goin on the football topic I played Wide Reciever all through high school and a little bit of CB and OLB but only second or third string in those Me though I am and i hate to admit it a huge lions fan and this year I think they may surprise a few people I could go on forever about this but I am just gonna stop right now

cbass1976 08-11-2004 08:23 PM

Bears fan here

Grossman MVP.....i wish

Rumple1263 08-11-2004 08:25 PM

it seems like its all about the NFC North eh

Hereabouts it's all about the AFC South & the Titans...
No predictions since we lost the Freak to Philly, & Eddie George has gone to the Plowboys...all the marbles seem to be riding on McNair...at least he won't be preoccupied worrying about his DUI case, they threw that out...the cop said he was weaving out of his lane, but the video showed he just veered a little over the line...shit, sober people weave more than that down Broadway everyday, with traffic all around...

I'm a Saints fan myself (yes I know I need help) but I don't expect them to have a real great season.

I tried to play ball from 6 - 12 grade played mostly at safety. I have two bad knees to show for it also.

I bleed a bit of green and gold, mixed with Badger red. So needless to say, I'll be cheering on the Pack from the middle of Cowboy country. I think it's Brett's last year, and I hope he and the team take it all the way - nothing better than going out on top.

Yes I am a 'Bolts fan but still have a warm spot in my heart for the 'Skins.

fredchabotnick 08-12-2004 10:58 PM

I'm a Pats fan...looking foward to another good year. Now if they'd just show more games around here...

Nice Guy 08-12-2004 11:46 PM

Seahawks all the way, but I will also be paying attention to the 49ers because their second string RLB lived 5 doors down from me in the dorms.

Rams fan here, been so since 1976--through the good but mostly bad times.

And as some have alluded to, I too am a football junkie :spin:

It is too early for me to tell yet but after preseason I will have a better feel how the teams will do.

Myself I played weakside defensive tackle, and middle line back (in 3rd and forever situations)...if but only I grew to 6'6 or better--would have loved to continue playiong football

Rumple1263 08-18-2004 06:51 PM

Ya I miss playin football alot I still play on a flag football team in the falls but its just not the same
but ya Im looking forward to a great lions season I like the way were lookin great recieving core joey lookin like hes comin around and hopefully jones brings us a run game finally and as for defense our d line is pretty much always solid we have a good secondary group this year thats healthy so far and some good young linebackers even though boss is out with his damn knee stuff

dreamgurl 08-18-2004 08:00 PM

I used to love Tampa Bay but they traded my guy Sapp and I don't think I'm brave enough to root for Oakland.
