Does numbers (of people you've had sex with or done anything else sexual with) mean anything to you? Do you think its important or it's just another useless number that doesnt mean anything?

I am a dork so I actually have kept a list of names that I've done anything sexual with. (including kissing... of which I ave 47)

Yeah, this is pretty much a useless post but I was bored.

As for the record, heres my other numbers:
Kiss: 47 - 45 guys, 2 girls
Received Oral: 21 - 20 guys, 1 girl
Given Oral: 19 - 18 guys, 1 girl
Had intercourse: 12 guys

I guess I just like to keep track of stuff bc I like remembering. And when I was younger I didn't date or do anything so now that my numbers are somewhat high I guess I feel like I can actually attract people now, like an ego boost.

Raven i think that you need to let the numbers go. there was thread before of you asking if we thought you were a slut for sleeping with x number of guys in x amount of time and i thought that the only reason youd ask is if that thought had crossed your mind.

now that we see you are keeping stats i think you are placing too much emphasis on the statistics and less importance on the experience and the joy and pleasure that these experiences are bringing you. i just hope that you dont see yourself as a slut and that you are having sex in all forms because you love it.

i dont mean to preach but i hope that you are hapy with you and not trying to please everyone else at the expense of your dignity.

as i read this over i see that it may come across as harsh but i though it needed to be said.

Sorry, I just have to act like a mother here.... I don't think the numbers matter; if it boosts your ego to keep track of the numbers, I guess more power to you. However, I know you have said in the past that you use safe sex, but I honestly don't know too many people who use condoms when they are giving blowjobs. Are you? And are your partners using "dental dams" when they have oral sex with you? I just worry about your safety and the huge risks you are taking with that many partners if you are not using condoms and dams for oral sex. Do you know how easy it would be to get HPV in your throat or herpes on your genitals or mouth if you're not using condoms/dams? A person doesn't have to have an actual sore for you to contract herpes, for example. I worry about you.

I agree with t and Blue.

I refuse to keep track of the people I've kissed - it's too much work (especially after that New Year's bus ride from the St. John's harbour - free transit + Steph on tequila = a dozen fun kisses! :D).

Words like dork and slut can be parried about but make sure you know what you're doing and why you're doing it.

Make sure you're accomplishing goals and following your heart.

While I agree with all of you, I think raven18's point to this thread may have been missed when she posted her own numbers. Her question of whether numbers mean anything to you *is* valid. I once dated a guy who also kept track of the different "varieties" of things. It drove me nuts. As long as you are true to yourself and comfortable with your sexuality, I'm not sure whether you have had one lover or 100 lovers matters.

Not many perhaps for a woman of 25, but what can I say? I've only met 5 people in my life that I've wanted to have sex with.

I had a lot of partners when I was younger, male and female..and was fun, I never kept count, but I would defend my membership at Pixies the right to keep a record...and being a slut wasn't all that bad, and still have the mentality :-)
