I sing the I Love Trash song every night as my 12 year old takes out the trash. Watch for him on the news when he beats me unmercifully with the trashcan one night :p

I liked Big Bird and Snuffleupagous, because most times, Snuffy wasn't around when he was supposed to be, and they thought he was the imaginary friend.My all time favorite was Grover, though. I had a golden book when I was a kid that had Grover teaching the Alphabet. He would bend his body into all the letter shapes, and at the end, he was tired and could barely say The End.

Elmo and Zoe are cute, but Grover was my fave, hands down. :)

Sherlock Hemlock might have been my first hero!

I loved counting in Spanish and French and they had the best videos of "field trips"

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12!

There were some trippy learning sequences, too! Lots of spinning stuff, flashing lights!

Almost as trippy as Electric Company.

Ah, childhood in the 70s!

I myself have always been a cookie monster fan. Maybe that's where I got my fetish for men with so much hair?! Lol

And Lilith it's ok that you sing the trash song because I sing Ernie's rubber duckie song when I do the dishes. And when I bathe my daughter. Oh hell I sing it when I bathe the dog too! :D

I always liked Bert the best. He's sooooo SQUARE, it's funny.

I'm with fzzy on this one...in that I grew up without the benefit of a big yellow bird. I remember the day it debuted (shit! how do you spell that?...lol!) though...and I knew it was a new children's classic!

Elmo is my fave! Hubby does a great Fozzy Bear (and is as cute), and The Count.....oh hell, he can imitate them all! LOL...he grew up with them and I robbed the cradle!
