Hi, I'm new to your forums. This is my first post and I hope I am posting this in the right place :)

I am a guy and am engaged to someone I love extremely. I haev always wondered about one thing: my height. My fiance and I are both 5'8". I love her height. However, I think my height bothers her. I wish I was taller, but what will only wishing bring?

My fiance tells me that she is not bothered by my height at all, and never could be. I think she is just being nice to me and trying to not hurt my feelings. Whenever I bring this up to her, she always says, "If you think that you are short, then I may think that I am tall." She says she can say the same thing that she wishes that she was shorter. She basically says the whole deal is pointless to talk about because it does not bother her.

I know this should be enough for me. However, I was wondering that do you think such an issue plays in sexual relationships? Maybe not now, but how about later in life?

Perhaps a better question to ask might be for you girls that are reading this. Do you girls prefer tall guys in sexual activities? What about a guy like my height? Where do you think I stand? What matters to you? If you loved a guy who was your height, do you think you would eventually get tired of him because he is not 'tall'?

Well I will admit, this issue hits very close to home for me... I'm 6'. That makes me a very tall women. I've often found myself with tall men as a result. I think that if I met someone I felt was the love of my like who was shorter than me, I would look beyond height.
But as for your question... I think that a large difference in height would be a little weird... at least for me, but I've found that the closer my height is to my man's, the better. So being the same height would be the ideal. :)

Mr Lil and I are the same height exactly although he will swear he's a 1/2 in taller :p Size has never ever once been an issue and we've been together 17 years.

WELCOME TO PIXIES!! So glad to see you posting right away & look forward to getting to know you. :)

Now as to your question on height..... Are you kidding? What does height have to do with love? Did you 'size up' your girl when you first met her? Or did you fall in love will her whole being? Her personality, her humor, her brain, her wit..... Of course looks play a part in the initial attraction but then you get to know the person and love them for who they are. You really need to think about your last line: "do you think you would eventually get tired of him because he is not 'tall'?" If either of you 'gets tired' of the other due to height, I'd wonder if it was true love to begin with. As a couple there will be other issues you'll need to face together, (careers,money, buying a house, kids, illness, etc!!) height should be a non-issue!

I know 2 couples where the wife is taller then the husband and both couples have been happily married for many years. And by the way... you ever see midget porn? LOL! Those guys are not bothered by height. ;)

I think its good that you asked about this. It shows your love & & concern for your girl. But now you've got answers from a number of pixies, all saying basically the same thing... height does not matter! So go get your girl and make wild-same-height love to her and live happily ever after. :D

Fussy and I are the same height.

It makes no difference in terms of sex - we're all the same height when we're lying down!

I sometimes tease Fussy that I'm taller than him when I'm wearing heels, but it really isn't an issue. Who gives a shit about something as superficial as that?

If I were you, I would take your fiancees advice and keep quiet about the height issue. You'll only make her self conscious and then there will be two of you with insecurities, rather than just one!

My gal is 5'5" I am 5' 10". But since my inseam is only 28" there are postions that are hard for us to do. Like doggie style or anything standing up. We still do these...just i use pillows or other things to stand on.

I wouldn't worry too much about being the same height. She'll grow more comfortable as time moves on.

As a side note, I know a couple where the guy is shorter than average, coming in around 5'3", and his wife is taller than average, coming in at 6'0". Now that makes for a comical photograph. ;)

My SO and I are the exact same height. It has some advantages...like I NEVER get a crick in my neck when kissing him...and we can master some positions that others can't.

I'm 6'2". For some reason, I had never dated a "tall" woman until I met my wife. I would always date women around 5'2" or 5'4". Yes, it was very difficult to have sex in different positions, etc. My wife is 5'10", so I don't have that problem anymore. :D

Similar heights are a good thing!

i'm just under 5'4 and my bf is up and around 5'11,i've always liked guys taller than me....i like being towered over and dominated...so that's what i've always preferred

I spent 27 years married to a man who was 6'4, and I'm 5'0... there were alot of things we couldn't do so well, but we managed.

My sweetheart is 5'10 and I love the 10inch height difference as opposed to 16inches.... but I'd love him just the same if he was taller or shorter.
