Bush & the 9/11 ad.

Been seeing stuff on the news over here about a ad for Bush on tv with 9/11 images? I also see that there still has not been any inquiry. The families of the victims are pushing for one is that so?

Yes, George Bush is exploiting the idea of teh US under attack in order to get himself re-elected.

Of course tehre is backlash against this exploitation.

Politics as usual.

In *this* particular case, the people who are decrying this exploitation are way off-base. As I said before, it politics as usual, meaning that *any* otehr persident trying to get himself re-relected would do exactly the same thing.

As far as the inquiry goes, yes, the families of the direct victims are pushing; but the timing on this was set until after the re-election. Another rather transparent political manpulation, which would again, be done by *any* other person in his position.

haven't seen it.. hope i don't, I hate election commercials above just about all other commercials. I don't watch much tv though, good way to avoid them altogether ;)

Join the crowd sir. You'll regain a large chunk of your life by not wasting it watching TV.

Computers have replaced the tv as a means of relaxing.

blathe,

I must say that I feel I have used my time better here than sitting slack-jawed staring at the boob tube.

Yeah, that's it, boobs over boob tube any day!

I canceled cable TV back in the late 80's and never looked back. All the news and information I need is on the net now anyway. I do go to movies from time to time, or rent/buy DVDs, but with the exception of the commercials they are starting to play at the movie theaters, I haven't seen many at all. Now, once a year I do watch the Super-bowl with some friends, but those commercials are usually (mostly) ignored as well.

OH, but as far as Dubya goes, I hope this backfires and gets him out of office.

lakritze 03-07-2004 01:33 PM

If I want to think about the election,I go to the T.V. If I want to have an erection, I'll go to Pixies.................

I think Iraq may cost to Govt here. We are having our Federal elections this year. There is talk the PM may get it in the back from his party before then.
