Anybody get proposed to on Valentine's night?

Am already married, so any proprosal would have to be indecent...had one of those on Friday night but declined...but was good for my frail ego..

I didn't even get a card! (sorry Fussy, but it's true!)

I didn't get a thing either. I did give though. My husband got a huge bottle of Tabasco (his fav). Plus we went to an auction and I bidded on a car he really wanted. Didn't get it though, I jumped in a $5,000, she sold for $14,500.

I am not a fan of Valentines day... and am certianly not someone in favor or engagements or weddings on valentines day. Why? Simple...

in the U.S. over 50% of marriages end in divorce... those who have anniversaries on Valentines have a double whammy for a very long time... not only having to deal with the sacred anniversay date (which anyone divorced has to deal with) but to have such a date on a particular day of the year that gets HIGH attention no matter where you look... cruel and unusual punishment.

NO.. before you think that my opinion is based soley on my divorce... NOPE :) Mine was long ago... and my anniversary thankfully falls on a different day of the year (that is easily overlooked now 7 years later)...

BUT... I do see my bro suffer the day...and its significance (he got engaged on that day, and later married her on that day as well)... it is all very sad to me..

nah got proposed to on new years eve and got my engagement ring on valentines...hes got rent and shit and behind on a lot but i really like it.
